Carma makes Machine to Machine (M2M) communications happen. We specialize in allowing cars and trucks to wirelessly speak with servers on the internet. That server software makes all kinds of calculations and tracks a lot of different things like fuel economy, parts failure, and driving behavior.
Businesses use the data collected from our hardware to reduce their fuel usage. This allows them to save money and be green at the same time. Our European Customers will see over a 50% ROI per vehicle in the first two years based on current fuel prices. This is because of the low cost of our devices and the rising prices of fuel abroad.
We have begun to work with industry leading automotive parts supply companies, diagnostic companies and shop management software companies to introduce a new way to diagnose vehicles remotely. We believe it will change the way a modern auto repair shop will operate. The goal of the project is to decrease wait times for customers, and increase the shop's efficiency.
All of the design, engineering and manufacturing is done within the USA. Carma makes every possible effort to support American businesses. As we move into full scale manufacturing during 2012 we hope to create American jobs, many of them in Upstate NY. We believe that green jobs can be profitable and create new possibilities in this great country of ours.
